The G(r)eek Olympics

How the Scoring Works

All Stream attendees will be randomly assigned to one of 10 teams (approx 20 per team), and given a sticker at registration indicating their team affiliation.

You can start participate in challenges from the time of the orientation meeting on Thursday evening through to Friday, 6pm, when the games offiicially close.

For each challange you participate in, you should record your name and score on the clipboards provided near to the challenge station. You may complete a challenge more than once, and only their highest score will be counted...but try to give others a chance, too!

Each TEAM may enter as many individual competitors for each challenge as they wish.

In general, the highest  individual scorer will be awarded 7 points, the second highest scorer 5 points, and the third highest scorer 3 points. Total points will be tallied, and both individual and team prizes will be awarded at the Extravaganza.

Fine print: The Olympic committee reserves the right to weight certain challenges by the number of overall participants. So, if you came in first out of 100 contestants in Guitar Hero you may get more points attributed for that victory than if you came in first out of three contestants in some other challenge. (We think you deserve it!)

In addition, team points will be awarded for certain group activities, such as the Treasure Hunt and Buzzer Trivia - each worth 30 points!!!
