Sir Martin Sorrell

Sir Martin Sorrell is Chief Executive and architect of WPP.  Under his leadership, the company has grown to become one of the world's leading providers of communications services, with 102,000 people (including associates) working across some 100 companies in 106 countries.  Before WPP, Sorrell developed his business skills by working with a series of successful entrepreneurs:  the Saatchi brothers (he was Group Finance Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Company PLC), James Gulliver, the British food retail entrepreneur (he was business/financial advisor), Mark McCormack (as VP he managed the business portfolio of sports celebrities) and Joel Smilow (he was a Marketing Associate at Glendinning Associates in the US).

Sir Martin is an economics graduate of Cambridge University with an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
