Venue

Stream 2007 will be taking place at Club Med Athenia, located just outside of Athens, Greece. All accommodation, meals & activities will take place in this self-contained resort.

Deliveries

If you are bringing anything to Stream (gadgets, props etc) which you wish to send in advance please note boxes can arrive no earlier than Wednesday 26th September.

Important: All shipments should be arranged with a courier on a DDP basis, or Delivery Duty Paid, if sent from outside the EU. Shipments that do not have duty pre-paid could be delayed by customs.

Accommodation

Everyone attending Stream 2007 will have a room allocated to them for 2 nights (4th and 5th October) at Club Med Athenia. Your participation at Stream 2007 includes accommodation and full board throughout your stay.

Conditions

• Club Med Athenia is opening exclusively for Stream 2007; accommodation is only available for these dates. There is no facility to stay before or after the 4th and 5th October. If you need to arrive earlier than 4th or depart later than 6th October, please visit the following sites to help you choose an alternative hotel: www.travel-library.com and Athens Airport Accommodation.
• We cannot assume responsibility for damages to attendees, goods or equipment brought by participants to the event.
• We cannot accommodate spouses, children, friends, siblings or pets.

Meals & Beverages

Club Med Athenia is an all inclusive club which means all meals and drinks* are included during your stay. On arrival at Club Med you will be given a wristband, this must be worn at all times to ensure you are served snacks, meals and drinks from the bar.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served in the Olympia Restaurant from 07:30 until 09:00 on both event days.

Lunch & Dinner

Lunch, dinner and snack details will be detailed when you arrive. Or see event schedule.

Flights

You are responsible for booking and covering the cost of your flight to Stream 2007. We recommend you arrive at the resort by 16:00 on Thursday 4th October and depart the venue at 15:00 on Saturday 6th October (see schedule for details). Club Med will be closing for the season the same day which means all rooms must be vacated.

Transfers

Transfer time from the airport is approximately 45mins.

Arrivals & Departures

The following transfers from Athens airport to Club Med Athenia are organised on Thursday 4th October:

10:15, 11:30, 13:00, 14:30, 15:00, 16:00, 16:30, 17:30, 18:30 and 19:30.

Please note we will not wait on flights, if you miss the transfer please wait for the next one or make your own way there.

Meet & Greet at Athens airport: on arrival, please look out for one of our Stream Team members. They will be wearing an Orange T-shirt and waiting outside the customs/arrival area with a Stream sign. They will direct you to your transportation located outside the Arrivals Hall in the parking area on the right hand-side.

Departure transfers on Saturday 6th October will depart promptly every 30 minutes from 12:00 until 17:00 (12:00, 12:30, 13:00...until 17:00).

Transfer from the venue to Athens airport should approximately take 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Please allow plenty of time for check-in at the airport as there may be queues. 
We recommend you take a transfer departing the Club Med at least 3 hours before your flight is due to leave. Please contact a Stream member once on-site to check the best transfer time and when you should leave the Club Med.

If you need an earlier or later transfer than those organised we advise to you book your transfer at the Club Med hotel reception.

Driving

At point 1: you are at the airport

At point 2: you enter to "Attiki Odos" (highway) taking the directions to Athens.

At point 3: you take exit for Pallini - Leof. Marathonos.

At point 4: you enter Leof. Marathonos (avenue) taking the direction to Rafina, Marathon.

After point 5 continue straight ahead, you pass the town of Nea Makri (marked on the map with a red flag. 3km after the central square of the town, turn right at the traffic lights where you see "Club Med Athenia - Golden Coast Holiday Club. Follow the signs and you arrive at the main entrance of the Club.

Taking a taxi

If you miss the transfers from the airport provided at Stream 2007 we recommend you take a taxi from the rank outside the airport. This should approximately cost €60 to €80.

Weather

During the month of October, Athens can expect a minimum temperature of 15oC (75oF) and maximum temperature of 24oC (59oF). The area around Athens does get quite windy at this time of year; Club Med is located along the beach front and may become cool during the evenings.

What to pack

Dress Code

Suits are out! Casual is in for this event! Jeans and trainers welcome.

Please refer to the weather forecast closer to the event to help you decide what to pack! We recommend you bring a beach/pool towel and sun cream as temperatures can reach 24oC (75oF) in October. The main swimming pool will be open for the duration of the event. A lifeguard will be on duty from 10:00 to 18:00, swimming outside of these hours is at your own risk! 

Please also bring something warm for the evenings, particularly for the Midnight Cooking Madness!

If the weather is good, some sporting activities will be available should you wish to use them.

Laptops

We suggest you bring along your laptop to Stream 2007. Although WiFi will be provided, minimal computing facilities will be available.
