The colorful and witty illustrations of Israeli illustrator Hanoch Piven have appeared throughout the last 14 years in both sides of the atlantic: in most major American magazines and newspapers such as Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone and in many European publications from The London Times to the Swiss Die WeltWoche

Piven's work has received many awards of excellence from different Design and Illustration organizations in the USA most notably a Gold Medal from The Society of Illustrators of NY in 1994 and a Silver Medal from the Society of Publication Designers. His work is regularly included in the annuals celebrating the best in illustration such as 'American Illustration' and Communication Arts.

Piven has published 5 children books in the USA, most notably "What Presidents are made of" (Simon and Schuster) chosen by Time Magazine as one of the best 10 children books of 2004, and "My Dog Smells Like Dirty Socks" published by Random House in May 2007.
Several pieces from "What Presidents are Made of" are in the permanent collection of The Prints and Photographs Division of The Library of Congress in Washington DC.

In Israel Piven has gained great visibility due to his longtime collaboration with the daily Haaretz, and his published books have become best sellers.

In recent years, while basing himself in Barcelona, Piven has been conducting 'Drawing with objects' workshops for children and grown-ups all around the globe.
