X-Stream is for the gamer in all of us:
-
If you were an Atari kid, it will show you how the gaming world has evolved.
-
If you're a gaming addict, it will let you get your fix of the latest consoles and releases, and allow you to compete against other hardcore gamers like yourself.
-
If you're a newbie, it will show you what gaming is all about, and maybe, just maybe, reveal a talent you never knew you had.
X-Stream provides the venue. You provide the glory.
With any questions, please contact Uri Kareev or Sam Kelly.

Sex, Lies and Video Games
Hosted by: Alex St. John, CEO of WildTangent
Games are the “crack cocaine” of new media and the darling of cyberspace. No media in history is more interactive, engaging, reconsumable, or influential on the next generation of consumers than video games. Before the end of the next decade, video games will be the dominant media consumed by virtually all ages and demographics. Although there is tremendous enthusiasm for transforming video gaming into interactive marketing’s next nirvana, the transition has been slow, difficult and fraught with hype and misinformation. WildTangent CEO and founder Alex St. John has been there, done that, and is back from the future to tell you why everything you’ve ever heard about in-game advertising is BS, how MMOG’s are quietly consuming the online game market, and how microcurrency and advertising are merging to create a common global currency for all game play.

The G(r)eek Olympics Olympic Committee: David Spitz, Sam Kelly, Nimrod Lehavi
Friday to 18.00

Legend has it the Greek Olympic games were founded by Heracles in the eighth century BC. For centuries, winners of the events were immortalised in poems and statues until, 1000 years later, these "pagan" games were banned by the Roman emperor Theodosius I.
The Geek Olympics is X-Stream's modern interpration of the ancient tradition. Participants will be randomly assigned to teams who will compete individually and as a group in challenges of the mind and body.
As in the Greek Olympics, winners will not only have the prestige of being in first place but will also be presented with a crown of olive leaves, and celebrated in verse.

Game Hall Guardians!
We need volunteers for assisting with the maintenance of the game room.
The task at hand is two fold:
- Help those unfortunate souls that have not yet encountered video games experience what games are all about;
- Make sure those expensive consoles return to their rightful owners
So if you are willing to assist, able bodied, and geeky enough to know your way around most consoles that we have, please add your name to one of the listed time slots below (if you are feeling benevolent, you can even put two).
